The Jackie Robinson Story (with Bonus Tribute)

This special edition of 'The Jackie Robinson Story' (starring Robinson as himself in the lead role and Ruby Dee playing his wife Rachel) was produced while Jackie was still playing baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Robinson's life moves from his childhood in Pasadena, California through being the first four-letter man at UCLA. Soon afterwards came his historic signing with the Dodgers, first at their farm club in Montreal, and then on with them to the big leagues in Ebbets Field, Brooklyn NY in 1947.

Also includes a special tribute profiling the life of Robinson with rare historic footage and containing celebrity testimonials, as well as quotes from other great athletes.

The Joe Louis Story

The life of Joe Louis unfolds in this feature film (starring Coley Wallace as Joe Louis) from his Brown Bomber's humble beginning, as the son of a cotton picker from Alabama. Through his early boxing career which began in 1934, he won 27 bouts knocking out 23 of his opponents. He held the heavyweight championship for almost 12 years from 1937-1949. He defended the championship 25 times during that period and won 20 by knockout. His professional boxing record over the course of his career was 71-3, only to be defeated by Max Schmeling and in his comeback attempts with Ezzard Charles and Rocky Marciano.
