The house in which Peter Henry Geoffrey Morgan was born had a study with a small wooden door. Through this door the young Peter Morgan witnessed some of the earliest three-wheeled Morgan sports cars being made. Cars of pioneering design created and crafted by his father, H.F.S. Morgan, and his skilled work-force.

Since the day of his birth in 1919, the Morgan sports car has been a part of Peter Morgan's life and indeed, for nearly half a century, Peter Morgan's life has been the Morgan Motor Company.

In three 'chapters', this video programme, through an extended interview with Peter Morgan, tells the story of how his father created the company, how he gained his engineering and management skills and how, under his leadership, the company has survived to be not just one of the greatest British sports car manufacturers in the world but also the world's oldest surviviing family-owned motor car company. Along the way, we see Clive Lones win the 1928 Cycle-Car Grand Prix at Brooklands, and also recently found footage of the 1952 RAC round Britain rally in which the Morgan team was victorious.

There is no other car company in the world to compare with the Morgan Motor Company and there are probably few people whose involvement in the motoring industry can compare to the 'Lifetime of Morgan' that is Peter Morgan's story.
