For one chaotic day in July 2006, the best road-legal vehicles from across the country battled it out to prove who was the fastest. More than one hundred tuned-to-the-teeth front, rear and four-wheel drive cars blasted Elvington Aerodrome over the handling circuit, top speed run and quarter mile drag.

Redline Ten of the Best V was the fastest and most uncompromising event yet, with twenty different cars hitting ten-second quarters and four breaking into the nines for an incredible display of modified power. TOTBIV champion Keith Cowie in the 1200bhp R32 Skyline was back to fight it out with the upper echelon of the modified car scene, including the return of the unbeaten three-time champion Rocket Ronnie back to regain his title.
