In this introduction to machine felting, often referred to as embellishing, Myfanwy Hart teaches the basic uses of the felting machine, how to change the needles when they break and how to care for your machine. You are taken through different techniques you can use with your machine such as how to create lines, circles and shapes.

The DVD progresses onto more challenging techniques such as "snippet soup" and "lumps and bumps". These techniques will broaden your knowledge of the felting machine and give you inspiration for your own projects.

As well as providing you with an insight of what you can achieve with your machine, this DVD gives you some inspiration as to what you can turn your embellished fabrics into, such as bags, purses, book covers and brooches.

Myfanwy Hart is an experienced textile artist and has been teaching creative textiles for nearly 20 years. In her own work, she uses dyed and decorated papers, hand threads, yarns, fabrics and fibres which are manipulated with the Embellisher.
